Bhagat Sadhna was a Butcher...Bhagat Ravidas and Bhai Gurdas acknowledge him

In Guru Granth Sahib, There is one hymn of Sadhna Butcher who have profession related to Animal meat. Born at Hyderabad and Died at Sirhind he preached Gurmat Philosophy around north India. He was disbeliever of Idol worship, believer of Hukam and was not tangle by this queston whether to animal kill for food or not.

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੰਨਿਆ ਕੇ ਕਾਰਨੈ ਇਕੁ ਭਇਆ ਭੇਖਧਾਰੀ ॥
ਕਾਮਾਰਥੀ ਸੁਆਰਥੀ ਵਾ ਕੀ ਪੈਜ ਸਵਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
ਤਵ ਗੁਨ ਕਹਾ ਜਗਤ ਗੁਰਾ ਜਉ ਕਰਮੁ ਨ ਨਾਸੈ ॥
ਸਿੰਘ ਸਰਨ ਕਤ ਜਾਈਐ ਜਉ ਜੰਬੁਕੁ ਗ੍ਰਾਸੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਏਕ ਬੂੰਦ ਜਲ ਕਾਰਨੇ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਗਏ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਫੁਨਿ ਕਾਮਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥੨॥
ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਜੁ ਥਾਕੇ ਥਿਰੁ ਨਹੀ ਕੈਸੇ ਬਿਰਮਾਵਉ ॥
ਬੂਡਿ ਮੂਏ ਨਉਕਾ ਮਿਲੈ ਕਹੁ ਕਾਹਿ ਚਢਾਵਉ ॥੩॥
ਮੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਛੁ ਹਉ ਨਹੀ ਕਿਛੁ ਆਹਿ ਨ ਮੋਰਾ ॥
ਅਉਸਰ ਲਜਾ ਰਾਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਸਧਨਾ ਜਨੁ ਤੋਰਾ ॥੪॥੧॥

• Bhagat Ravidas also acknowledge Butcher Sadhana in his hymn, which means Bhagat Ravidas was also not against his Animal Killing for food and he believe that one can attain the supreme even having butcher profession
  ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਕਬੀਰੁ ਤਿਲੋਚਨੁ ਸਧਨਾ ਸੈਨੁ ਤਰੈ ॥ ਕਹਿ ਰਵਿਦਾਸੁ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਰੇ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਤੇ ਸਭੈ ਸਰੈ ॥੨॥੧॥

• Sadhna was Butcher by profession, as per Vaar of Bhai Gurdas who supported that Bhagat Sadhna got across world ocean by killing animals.

               ਧੰਨਾ ਜਟੁ ਉਧਾਰਿਆ ਸਧਨਾ ਜਾਤਿ ਅਜਾਤਿ ਕਸਾਈ।(Vaar 12 Pauri 15 Line 3)
               ਜੇ ਕਾਸਾਈ ਉਧਰਿਆ ਜੀਆ ਘਾਇਨ ਖਾਈਐ ਭੰਗਾ। (Vaar 31 Pauri 9 Line 5)

• Some think that Sadhna left Butcher profession which is not supported by Bhai Gurdas Vaar.
• Some think Sadhna was guided by Goat, when he was about to cutting its leg, which is not supported by Hymn: ਤਵ ਗੁਨ ਕਹਾ ਜਗਤ ਗੁਰਾ ਜਉ ਕਰਮੁ ਨ ਨਾਸੈ ॥
• Some think Sadhna was believer of Karma philosophy which is again not supported by his hymn, he is questioning Jagat Gura, what is your quality if Karma is not erased : ਤਵ ਗੁਨ ਕਹਾ ਜਗਤ ਗੁਰਾ ਜਉ ਕਰਮੁ ਨ ਨਾਸੈ ॥ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਰਨ ਕਤ ਜਾਈਐ ਜਉ ਜੰਬੁਕੁ ਗ੍ਰਾਸੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
